GIPPSLAND CAMINO – INTRODUCTION
This is your invitation to walk with us on a Gippsland Camino from the 1-4 May 2025. During this time, the churches along the Gippsland Rail Trail from Traralgon to Stratford will support you spiritually and physically.

  • We acknowledge that we will be walking on the traditional lands of the Gunai Kurnai people.
  • The route will cover 63 Kms over 3 walking days. We will be walking along the Gippsland Plains Rail Trail https://gippslandplainsrailtrail.com.au/
  • You are welcome to walk the whole route or parts of the route– each section of the trail will be supported as per the schedule in the booklet.
  • The event starts with a blessing of the pilgrims at Traralgon Uniting Church on the evening of 1st May and concludes with a celebratory service at St Paul’s Anglican Cathedral, Sale on the afternoon of 4th May.
  • Spiritual resources and prayers for your use are included in the booklet.

Volunteers & Driver Wanted for Op Shop


Our Parish Op Shop and Warehouse are looking for more volunteers, and especially drivers to help with donation pickups and sold item deliveries.
If you would like to volunteer as a driver at the warehouse, or be a volunteer at either site, please call in and talk to Soraya at the Warehouse: Roberts Crt or Lee-Anne at the Op Shop: Princes Way, Drouin.

Church Gardening Group

A very informal gardening group will gather on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1.30 pm at Christ Church. This is not a structured working bee, but for people who know a little or a lot about gardening and can use their own initiative.

WEDNESDAY Walking Group

DACS WALKING GROUP- AT MCNEILLY PARK-JACKSONS DRIVE DROUIN

Meet every Wednesday morning at the Country Club entrance at Mc Neilly Park Jackson’s Drive 8.30am to walk the lake.

If wet the group meets at Drouin McDonald’s for coffee at 9am.

The Crossing Drop In Centre Drouin

The Crossing has reopened as of 22 January 2025

Open Wednesday , Thursday and Fridays

The Crossing is urgently seeking volunteer cooks for community lunches and to prepare community freezer meals supply . Volunteers are also needed to share the bookshop and caf?/kitchen tasks. Please see the team should you wish to volunteer.

The menu at The Crossing at 134a Princes Way Drouin remains diversified with sausage rolls, toasted sandwiches, salad rolls and soup, with a cappuccino, tea and hot chocolate. Take the opportunity, if you haven?t for a while, to drop in and have a coffee or some lunch, while enjoying the good company of our volunteers and other guests.
Community Lunch takes place on Wednesdays. For a cost of $10, a freshly cooked two course meal is served, with tea or coffee to follow.
Additionally, nutritious frozen meals are available for $5. Add a soup or a dessert for $2.50.

The Crossing is seeking interested volunteers to join the team ASAP. As a church faith community we ask you to consider if you can spare some time to assist with retail book sales and caf? cooking and serving. Please make contact with them on 56252655 or drop in and see them!

Meditation Group

The rector leads a small group in Meditation every 2nd Sunday after the service at Drouin from 11am, newcomers can be shown how to meditate in private sessions prior to joining
