It's official - the people of Drouin and their family and friends are needed to help us set a NEW WORLD RECORD for the MOST NUMBER OF PEOPLE TO ROLL DOWN A HILL IN 1 HOUR. As part of Drouin's Ficifolia Festival, we are inviting the community to come together and put Drouin in the book - the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD BOOK! The current record is 570 people and it is held by by The National Trust (UK). They set it in July 2014 at an event in Polesden Lacey, Surrey, UK.
Pffftt!!! 570? Puh-leeeeease! We reckon we can get A THOUSAND regulation rolls. We have a few more details to work out and some special offers coming soon. We will have an ONLINE REGISTRATION to help us with the Guinness World Record evidence requirements, but it's not quite ready to share.
Please stay tuned for updates. Click on the INTERESTED or GOING button, and TAG your hill-rolling friends.
So are you in? Can we count on you to roll with us? All ages and all abilities are invited. If you have particular needs, let us know.
Oh, and if you want to help with the planning and running it, we'd *LOVE* to have you! Anyone 12 years and over can pitch in. Send us a message :)
Anglican Parish of Drouin is proudly child-safe and works consciously to be inclusive and supportive of all people. We you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch to talk with us.
